UVSC December Police Beat

December 1st- INTOXICATION-A 66 year old male was kicked off a UTA bus at the front of campus for being intoxicated. UVSC Police were unable to find a responsible person to take custody of the male. UTA agreed to transport the male to a homeless shelter in Salt Lake City.

December 1st- MEDICAL- A UVSC Cheerleader was dropped by her male partner during the UVSC Homecoming game. The cheerleader struck her head on the basketball floor causing a concussion. The cheerleader was evaluated on scene by UVSC Police and Orem Paramedics. She was then transported by her parents to a local hospital for further treatment.

December 6th- FIRE-A fire was discovered in a microwave in the basement of the Liberal Arts building. The fire started when food was placed in the microwave and left unattended for an excessive amount of time. The fire was contained to the microwave itself. However, the room did suffer smoke damage.

December 7th- TRAFFIC ACCIDENT- Officers responded to 1200 W 800 S on a report of a single vehicle traffic accident. The driver was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for further investigation.

December 7th- AGENCY ASSIST-Officers responded to Remington Apartments to assist Orem Police with looking for a burglary suspect.
